Workshop on Simple Household Accounting and Recording & Calculating Income from Product Sales and Daily Expenses at the Subdistrict Learning Promotion Center, Tha Li, Kumphawapi District, Udon Thani

On December 11-12, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pattaravis Yoowattana, the Acting Director of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Udon Thani Educational Center, assigned Lecturer Teerarat Amnajcharoen to provide academic services to the community under the project "Skill Development and Economic Upliftment of Cultural Tourism Communities Towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)" in Udon Thani province. This initiative focused on enhancing financial and economic knowledge among local residents. The workshop covered topics on "Simple Household Accounting" and "Recording and Calculating Income from Product Sales and Daily Expenses" at the Subdistrict Learning Promotion Center, Tha Li, Kumphawapi District, Udon Thani.

The event received significant interest from the residents of Tha Li Subdistrict. Participants learned how to systematically record and analyze household income and expenses, enabling them to manage their household finances more efficiently. This practice helps reduce financial burdens, minimize debt issues, and enhance financial stability. Additionally, participants engaged in hands-on exercises to record and calculate income from local product sales, helping them manage costs and profits effectively. This knowledge allows them to accurately calculate various expenses and apply the principles to their local businesses.

This project aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:
SDG 1: No Poverty – by equipping community members with financial management skills to reduce debt and enhance economic security.
SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – by fostering local economic development and empowering small entrepreneurs.
SDG 4: Quality Education – by providing valuable financial literacy and life skills to help individuals efficiently manage their available resources.

The implementation of this initiative not only strengthens financial knowledge within the community but also plays a crucial role in driving sustainable economic growth in cultural tourism communities. It reflects a commitment to sustainable development goals while fostering resilience and stability in the local economy.
